The modern level of construction and finishing works implies high precision of execution. For this, as in other areas of production, there are specialized measuring instruments and tools. One of these very important tools for construction is a laser level or, as most people call it, a laser level.
This device appeared relatively recently and immediately gained great popularity.
The main purpose of the laser level is to determine the horizontality or verticality of building structures, auxiliary marks, etc. At the same time, other similar instruments, the same bubble levels or hydraulic levels, are significantly inferior to them in terms of measurement accuracy. Another advantage of laser levels is that you immediately get a visual result that you can use during construction and repair.
Of course, there is no laser in these devices, but because of the rays that these devices use, this name appeared.
The modern construction market offers a very large number of different laser levels and levels that have certain functionality and, as a rule, the more expensive the tool, the more bells and whistles it has.
Also, laser levels differ from the scope and range of use. Some are suitable only for small finishing works, while others may well compete with such devices as optical theodolites and levels on construction sites, except that most of the measurements of the electronic counterpart are disproportionately higher, since they are mostly automated.
Thanks to the built-in gyroscopes, laser levels require only a preliminary, so-called rough adjustment (setting to a point), then everything adjusts and aligns itself.
This device has become simply indispensable for various finishing works, as it significantly speeds up work on measuring various distances and checking the geometry (evenness) of building structures.
For many models of laser levels, if they are not used indoors, but outdoors on a bright sunny day, when the rays are practically invisible, special beam catchers are produced that will help determine at what height the beam passes with an accuracy of a millimeter. Additionally, the range of use of the laser level is enhanced.
In this section, we tried to collect information about all modern laser levels that can be found in hardware stores. The articles provide a detailed description of the tool, features, capabilities and disadvantages. Tips are also presented for which one or another model is more appropriate to use.
After reading our articles, you will be able to consciously buy exactly the model that meets your needs and requirements and not overpay money for unused functions.
